BROTHERS IN SONG - HOLIDAY HARMONY  Portland, Oregon 
What better way to usher in the Season than listening to three dynamic performers singing favorite Holiday songs?  Two of them are ordained preachers and the other, well, he's played a priest on TV.  Together, they're BROTHERS in SONG.
The response from the audience, both in showing up for the June 29th show, and the reaction, was exciting for us.  THANK YOU for coming to join us for our show this past Summer.  We are excited to be presenting a concert of our favorite music in celebration of a joyous season.  We offer you our very favorite songs sung from the heart.  All sentiment aside, the fact that we each are able to carry a tune doesn't hurt.  This show will be wonderful.

MASTERCLASS with JOSH YOUNG  Portland, Oregon   
Josh Young, currently starring as 'Che' in the National Tour of EVITA will lead an open masterclass at The Old Church on Wednesday, January 8th at 1:30pm.  This offers an audience of music and theater lovers the opportunity to watch how detailed coaching immediately effects what the audience will later see onstage.  This is what goes on behind the scenes on the reality shows, "American Idol", "The Voice" and the new, "Sing-Off".  This class offers the observers a higher insight into what we see onstage.  For the participants, it may well change the direction of their proposed careers.

BROADWAY NIGHT at The Bing  Spokane, Washington
 Douglas Webster returns to Spokane to lead an ensemble of friends in an evening of musical theater.  This program is a follow-up to a successful and enjoyable collaboration with Spokane-based theater performers as stage director for the Spokane Civic Theatre production of Les Miserables.   As much as he enjoyed working with the cast, he was missing the chance to stand with them onstage and join a few of his incredibly talented cast in their favorite music from Broadway.  Co-hosted by Jim Swoboda, the star of the Civic's Les Miz.  Webster and Swoboda will join forces in a show that will feature beloved songs from Broadway favorites including a version of Bring Him Home that will bring down the house.

MUSICAL THEATER MATINEE : BROADWAY BARITONE Portland, Oregon
We begin a series of concerts at The Old Church highlighting the music of Broadway, Off-Broadway and new material that is headed in that direction.  Songs that tell a story, guide our emotions or simply express a moment in life.  This is the hallmark of a 'theater song'.  And to start, we will feature the music written for the hero of the Broadway musical, the 'Broadway Baritone'.  While opera has the tenor stand as the leading protagonist, the Broadway Baritone must match the heights of range sung by a tenor, but also sing with the warm, rich tone that settles into the heart of the listener.  Douglas Webster commands just such a voice.  He will share his favorite songs in a 90-minute program shortly before he returns to the role of Jean Valjean for Spring, 2014 with the Arkansas Rep and Phoenix Theatre.

BACKYARD GARDEN CONCERTS  
An unassuming SE Portland backyard hosts a concert series of light chamber music and popular song under an apple tree.  Relive a moment of your grandparent's youth while having your photo taken sitting in a real paper moon, listening to music of their day!  Enjoy a refreshing dessert while listening to effervescent music.  Relax and enjoy being outside in a Portland evening, accompanied by musicians who share their love of their craft, and their home, Portland.

Douglas Webster hosts and leads an evening presenting participants of the 2013 American Singer Music Theater Intensive program.  Former participants have gone on to star on Broadway.  Literally.  This program offers a chance to see some terrific performances of popular Broadway songs.
